Most Influential Black Briton #Powerlist
Dame Sharon White, the first female chair of John Lewis Partnership, was named the UK’s most influential black person in the 2023 Powerlist. The list showcases role models for young people of African and African Caribbean heritage. Notable figures include Sir Lewis Hamilton, Sir Lenny Henry, and Stormzy. Prior to her role at John Lewis, White made history as the first woman and black person to lead Ofcom. She also held a significant position in Whitehall, overseeing spending cuts at the Treasury.
